I'm so excited to announce that SFD+P is moving to Columbia, South Carolina! It's going to be a big change, but I am looking forward to what the Palmetto State has in store for me. It's been almost 4 years since I last lived in SC, and I am beyond ready to get back to the warm, beautiful South. (I better start practicing my "y'all"!)

Even though I'm relocating, living in this digital age means that my services are still available to you, no matter where you live! Isn't technology great?

Thank you so much for your support of my graphic design and photography work, it means the world! :)
Columbia, here I come!

The other day while I was out and about, I stopped at this bridge (actually, underneath it) in West Middlesex, PA to snap a few photos. Bridges are fascinating to me - complex structures of cement and steel forming a link across an otherwise impassable section of earth. My favorite bridge by far is the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. bridge across the Cooper River in Charleston, SC. Talk about a gorgeous bridge! (Seriously, check out some my photos of it or look it up - I have mad love for that bridge!) Being a bit philosophical here, what's great about bridges is that even if they get damaged or torn down, they can be rebuilt even stronger than before. :)

On July 5, 2014, I had the honor of witnessing (and photographing) one of my very dearest friends marry her soulmate! The wedding was held at The Oaks Waterfront Inn in Royal Oak, Maryland, and you would be hard-pressed to find a more amazing and picturesque venue! The inn and barns on the surrounding grounds were full of charming character, and the ceremony itself was held outside overlooking the water. During cocktail hour, Amy & Mike surprised the guests by arriving via boat! (I mean really, could it be any more romantic? Swoon!) Close family and friends got to stay together at the inn for the weekend, so there were lots of festivities and LOTS of smiles and laughing! I am so happy for Amy & Mike and wish them a lifetime of everlasting love and laughter!

When Amy came to me about doing an engagement photo shoot with her new fiance Mike, I was ecstatic! Amy and I were roommates at Westminster College, and I couldn't wait to catch up with her and finally meet Mike. I took a roadtrip down to Chester, Maryland (which happens to be an island, no big deal!) for the weekend to hang out and take photos. Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day for a photo session, albeit a bit chilly and windy! We had a blast all afternoon going from location to location taking photos. I was really excited at how many different settings there were on this island - a view of the Bay Bridge, a quiet pond surrounded by trees, a wooden bridge spanning a small river with marshes on each side, marinas with beautiful boats, breaker rocks stretching into the bay, and even a weathered wooden fence overlooking a field! Amy and Mike were wonderful, and there was so much love and laughter all throughout the day! Can't wait for the wedding!

Sara and Tommy's wedding venue is not one I will soon forget. I'll admit it, I wasn't completely sold on the wedding in a barn idea...until now. Sara and Tommy's August 23rd wedding was held at the White Barn in Prospect, PA, and I have to say, it blew me away! The ceremony was outdoors overlooking a little pond with tons of open space all around. What a setting! The reception was inside the two-story open loft barn, which was absolutely gorgeous! Strings of lights hung between the two loft areas twinkled above the dance floor, and mason jars and handmade decorations were everywhere you looked! Sara was jaw-droppingly stunning, and Tommy and their adorable son Austin looked so dapper! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Haus, I wish you a lifetime of love!
